Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our massage therapy services. These terms govern your relationship with Ryvona Massage Therapy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking an appointment, using our services, or accessing our website at www.ryvona.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ryvona Massage Therapy, located at 33 Gerrard St West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Important Note: Our massage therapy services are provided for wellness, relaxation, and therapeutic purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

2. Services Provided

2.1 Massage Therapy Services

Ryvona provides professional massage therapy services including but not limited to:

  • Relaxation Massage ($80 CAD for 60 minutes)
  • Deep Tissue Therapy
  • Hot Stone Wellness treatments
  • Wellness consultations
  • Other therapeutic massage modalities as offered

2.2 Service Standards

All services are provided by Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) licensed in Ontario, Canada. We maintain professional standards in accordance with regulatory bodies and industry best practices.

2.3 Service Limitations

Our services are complementary to conventional healthcare and should not replace medical treatment. We do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment for specific medical conditions.

3. Appointments & Booking

3.1 Booking Process

Appointments can be booked by phone (+1 306-664-3013), email ([email protected]), or through our contact form. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.

3.2 Appointment Confirmation

All appointments must be confirmed. We will contact you to confirm your appointment time and provide any necessary pre-appointment instructions.

3.3 Arrival Time

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete intake forms and prepare for your session. Late arrivals may result in shortened treatment time without fee reduction.

3.4 Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours advance notice. Same-day rescheduling requests are subject to availability and may incur fees.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Cash (Canadian Dollars)
  • Debit cards
  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)

4.2 Payment Timing

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. All prices are in Canadian Dollars and include applicable taxes.

4.3 Insurance and Benefits

We provide receipts for insurance reimbursement purposes. Payment is due at time of service, and clients are responsible for seeking reimbursement from their insurance providers directly.

4.4 Price Changes

Service prices are subject to change with 30 days written notice. Current pricing is available on our website and upon request.

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Client Cancellations

Appointments cancelled with 24 hours or more notice will not incur charges. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment time will be charged 50% of the service fee.

5.2 No-Show Policy

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will result in the full service fee being charged.

5.3 Emergency Cancellations

In case of genuine emergencies (illness, family emergency, etc.), cancellation fees may be waived at our discretion.

5.4 Business Cancellations

If we need to cancel your appointment, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer to reschedule at your convenience.

Health & Safety: Please do not attend your appointment if you are feeling unwell, have fever, or have been exposed to contagious illnesses. We will waive cancellation fees for health-related cancellations.

6. Client Responsibilities

6.1 Health Information Disclosure

Clients must provide accurate and complete health information during the intake process, including current medical conditions, medications, allergies, and previous injuries.

6.2 Communication During Treatment

Clients should communicate openly about comfort levels, pressure preferences, and any discomfort experienced during treatment. Our therapists will adjust techniques accordingly.

6.3 Professional Boundaries

Clients must respect professional boundaries and conduct themselves appropriately during sessions. Inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of services without refund.

6.4 Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

7. Health & Medical Conditions

7.1 Medical Clearance

Clients with certain medical conditions may require clearance from their healthcare provider before receiving massage therapy. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Recent surgeries or injuries
  • Cancer treatment (current or recent)
  • Blood clotting disorders
  • Cardiovascular conditions
  • Pregnancy (first trimester)

7.2 Contraindications

Massage therapy may not be appropriate for certain conditions. Our therapists reserve the right to decline or modify treatment based on health assessments.

7.3 Treatment Modifications

Treatment plans may be modified based on individual health needs and responses to therapy. Such modifications are made in the client's best interest and safety.

8. Professional Conduct

8.1 Therapeutic Relationship

All interactions maintain a strictly professional therapeutic relationship. Our services are provided in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner.

8.2 Draping and Privacy

Professional draping techniques ensure client privacy and comfort at all times. Only areas being treated will be undraped, and clients undress to their comfort level.

8.3 Continuing Education

Our therapists maintain current licensing and participate in ongoing professional development to provide the highest quality care.

9. Liability & Insurance

9.1 Professional Liability

Ryvona Massage Therapy maintains professional liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided.

9.2 Client Acknowledgment

By receiving our services, clients acknowledge understanding that massage therapy carries minimal risks, including temporary soreness, bruising, or aggravation of existing conditions.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

9.4 Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ryvona Massage Therapy from any claims resulting from failure to disclose relevant health information.

10. Privacy & Confidentiality

Client information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with professional standards and applicable privacy laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10.1 Health Information

All health information provided during intake and treatment is kept confidential and used solely for treatment purposes.

10.2 Record Keeping

Treatment records are maintained according to professional guidelines and regulatory requirements.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the property of Ryvona Massage Therapy and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

11.1 Website Content

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without express written permission.

11.2 Trademarks

"Ryvona" and associated logos are trademarks of our business and may not be used without permission.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will become effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

12.1 Notification of Changes

Significant changes to these terms will be communicated to existing clients via email or phone where possible.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

13.1 Dispute Resolution

We encourage clients to contact us directly to resolve any concerns. If formal dispute resolution is necessary, we prefer mediation before pursuing legal action.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
